  2. Ted sick for a period of time with cancer. Hospice limited resource of information I nursed my dad at the Family home. After all I realized cancer had an open door in family life and the unseen could end up completely out of hand if not paid attention to every single solitary detail. Who could realize every detail of the unspoken skill of nursing without a formal education intact is not as easy as the years the Day Family hand in hand labored on this 10-acre Family estate. After Ted's cancer diagnosis, Day Family built a new home on the Day Estate. The remaining lakefront home Ted grew up in completely remodeled 1970's by Family hands as Ted's thoughts in of the Day Family Generations, now a new maintenance free home for J.Day. This new home with central air conditioning to endure Florida heat, this way Joan’s Mother agreed to move from California to Fl. during Ted's struggle with cancer. Past generations a Day Family Estate in traditional years memories continued as the Day Family Estate. John Adomitis is Mr. Day's best man at wedding to Joan Day in Cook County, Illinois in 1970's. The Adomitis Family included in as the Day Family entertained the Adomitis Family for years of weekends on the “Pastime” the Day Family boat on Fox chain of Lakes in Illinois. Joan and Ted dinner invitations to John and Helen continually throughout years. Ted passed on December 13,1988 and John returned to Illinois. The Day Family at holidays then immediately in January 1989 John returned to Grand Island staying with Joan & her mother at the Day Family Estate. During this time, the limits of the small Grand Island Post Office so John took possession of the Day Family’s Business P.O. Box number immediately as the Day Family business sold. Now choices in limits Joan's mother, at the age 78 decided to move back to California. After facts, Dan Adomitis also moved to Florida and the Adomitis Family remained at the Day Family Estate for a period of time. In time Dan moved to St. Petersburg, Fl. By July 1989, the Day Family business sold and Grandma, back in California Joan accompanied John returned to Illinois in order for John to prepare to sell his home and permanently move to Grand Island, Fl. In time, Joan along with John completely liquated All the Day family assets including the 10 acre Day family Estate, All of Mr. Day’s personal property including Mr. Day’s family antiques sold to locals in the Lake County area. Long gone, somewhere a memory of Ted Day thoughts for all now in complete of details in order for family to stay intact. Day Family Pastimes forever lost, traditionally now, just gone. After all now,is only John and Joan Adomitis's Estate in Lake County Florida. Any family times in trails & tribulations Families traditionally stay united supporting trying times usually strengthen family connections. When there are not all details in for helping hands or to family support during trying times, families ends up lost or completely separated in time. However, I recently came across a January 2011 article Minister Cheru stated at the opening of Firestones Duside Friendship House "It is also my fervent hope and prayer all families that walk through these doors will truly experience friendship and love." I am not privileged in any way, shape or form to be a part of such an event because we live here however thanks and appreciation to Firestone vision to construct the Duside Friendship House located within the vicinity of its medical center for the Sole purpose of keeping people Near their sick Relatives. This way Families could stay united and continue as a Supporting Family Team in trying times. In memory of my dad Teddy Bear may your soul rest in peace. I believe Friendship House Firestone created is an inspiration for All Families especially during any vulnerable trying times. Friendship House in actions as an active helping hand for families in need. Thank You, Firestone this way has enlightened my spirits. Sincerely, S.D.Y.
